Australian 4x4 Travel is a web based business that is owned by Amanda and John Cantrell in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, Australia.

We also have a 4wd driver training business, Australian 4x4 Driver Training, that is operated alongside this business.

Australian 4x4 Travel is an Australian Tourism Accredited Business and holds permits to operate with NPWS, Parks Victoria and Forests NSW.

Australian 4x4 Driver Training is a Registered Training Organisation and issues nationally accredited driver training.

We have owned a multitude of four wheel drive vehicles over the years, both in Australia and overseas, which have given us the means to visit many out of the way places.

More of Australia, much more, can be seen travelling in a four wheel drive vehicle than by any other form of transport.

The old argument that they are cumbersome to drive and expensive to run really doesn't wash these days as modern 4x4's have all the driver and passenger mod cons as well as outstanding economy with the newer generation diesel engines.

So there isn't much on the negative side to owning a 4x4 but there are heaps of pluses when you consider all of the extra places you can go to and sights to see.

The majority of Australians and overseas visitors, unfortunately will never experience the sheer beauty and magic of these vaste areas of hiden Australian countryside.
