Australian 4x4 Travel is a web based business that is owned by John Cantrell in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, Australia.

We also have a 4wd driver training business, Australian 4x4 Driver Training, that is operated alongside this business.

Australian 4x4 Travel is an Australian Tourism Accredited Business and holds permits to operate with NPWS, NPWS SA, Parks Victoria and Forests NSW.

John Cantrell Trading as Australian 4x4 Driver Training is a Registered Training Organisation and issues nationally accredited driver training to government and corporate clients as well as to members of the public.

Between the two businesses we are leading suppliers of a range of off road and 4wd maps and guides as well as providing tag along tours to some of Australia's better places in small groups and in a relaxed atmosphere.

We have owned a multitude of four wheel drive vehicles over the years, both in Australia and overseas, which have given us the means to visit many out of the way places, some of which are on this website and some of which have been overseas.

More of Australia, much more, can be seen travelling in a four wheel drive vehicle than by any other form of transport.
