We run
three types of course, two of which cover general 4wd drive and recover
a 4wd skills and the third which covers advanced drive and recover a
4wd skills.
What's the
difference between the one and two day general courses
and is there somewhere to stay on the two day course
Both
courses qualify you for the same nationally accredited
certificate,
SISODRV302A - Drive and
Recover a 4wd Vehicle, however,
the
Level 1
one day course is designed mainly for those wanting to do the
bare necessities and for those corporate clients wanting to obtain
accreditation for employees in the shortest amount of time
The Level 2
two day course teaches the same skills as the level 1 course but gives
you far more time to practice what you have learnt, takes you onto more
advanced tracks and introduces you to some more advanced recovery
processes. The cost of the two days is only marginally more than the
one day, however, it will take you to a much higher level of 4wd driving
ability
Level 3
covers the competency units SISODRV405A
- Coordinate Recovery of 4wd Vehicles and SISODRV404A
- Drive a 4wd Vehicle in Difficult Terrain and is the
advanced course that covers advanced driving skills over rougher
terrain and covers more advanced recovery skills, including winching.
It is a requirement that the Level 1 or Level 2 course be completed
before undertaking Level 3
Accommodation
in the area
There is a wide selection of accomodation in the area.
The local pub, which is right next door to our training
area is very reasonably priced with singles from $35.00 per
night, the rooms and bedding are clean, in good condition and
comfortable, the meals are good and well presented, the locals
are friendly and it is generally quite quiet.
There is a very well managed council caravan and camping site about 10
minutes away which is also very clean and tidy.
Then there is a wide variety of motels and hotels from the not so good
to excellent and varying in price accordingly.
Extra
Passenger and Children
You are welcome to bring a non-participating passenger at no extra cost
and you are also welcome to bring your children but please let us know
in advance.
