Spend
two days with us on our 4wd driver training course learning what you and your 4wd are capable of in a
real life, natural setting near Lithgow, west of Sydney.
There is a wide choice of accomodation in the area as well as bush camping if you wish to stay overnight.
People
are often surprised after doing the 4wd driver training course at just how capable their vehicles are and, with
the knowledge gained, find they can enjoy more of our natural countryside with
confidence and go on tracks they would otherwise not have attempted.
The course covers terrain that is typical of that which you are likely to
experience
when you go out on your own. Your instructor is a fully qualified workplace trainer and assessor with over 40 years of
4wd driving experience both in Australia and overseas. You will gain the
knowledge to plan your trip, know what
to look for during a pre-departure vehicle check, how to travel over
various
types of steep, rutted and other terrain, undertake water
crossings and how
to use available recovery equipment. Getting
stuck on one kind of obstacle or other is inevitable at some time -
learn how to recover your vehicle safely with minimal damage to the
environment. By
limiting the number of participants on the 4wd driver training course we are able to combine the
Introductory and Advanced levels of 4wd driver training into the two
day course - saving you time and money.
Prices start ot $349.00 and you are welcome to bring a non-participating passenger with you at no extra cost.
We
are fully insured for 4wd driver training and have the required permits
to operate in the areas where the training takes place.
The following competency units are covered -
| SRODRV001B -
Drive and Recover a 4wd | SROODR002A -
Plan Outdoor Activity | | SRODRV002B -
Drive a 4wd in Difficult Terrain | SRODRV003B -
Coordinate Recovery of a 4wd Using Advanced Techniques |
The complete course starts from $349.00 per person which includes a comprehensive handbook, but excludes food and accomodation. See our booking form for details. (Go to the booking page)
Whilst
every participant receives the same instruction and covers exactly the same course material there are two
levels of certification.
Our
Recreational Certificate is for those who don't need a nationally
recognised certificate for work or other reasons. With this certificate
our costs are less and there is less paper work and administration, so
we pass the savings on to you.
If
you require a certificate for work or Workcover reasons then we will
issue you with a certificate recognised Australia wide.
Booking is easy. Simply click here to go to our booking page Book early as we restrict the numbers on training days
Current courses available - 15/16th November 13/14th December
