Housed in a waterproof case to the IPX7 (details below) standard
the eTrex 12
Channel GPS has operating buttons on both sides which allows for more
display space on the front of the unit.
The built in trip
computer calculates current speed, average speed, resetable maximum
speed, trip timer and distance, sunrise and sunset times.
It has
an automatic track log which allows for up to 10 saved tracks. These
saved tracks can then be re-traced in either direction.
Input routes and route waypoints.
With
a battery life of up to 22 hours using 2 x AA batteries, a weight of
just 5.3 ounces and dimensions of 2"w x 4x4"h x 1.2"
deep, this is an ideal handheld GPS unit for bushwalking and
other
similar outdoor pursuits.
With a display size of 2.1 x 1.1
with a 4 level gray, LCD, display screen producing a screen resolution
of 128 x 64, the unit is easy to use and read.
IPX7 - Protected against water immersion at a depth of 1 metre for up to 30 minutes - water must not be running
