With
modern satellite
navigation systems and mobile communications devices readily available
much of the risk of past times has all but been eliminated.
Most
of these trips should
not be undertaken lightly in ill prepared vehicles, a lack of
proper equipment and a lack of an adequate, well
thought
out, supply of food, water and often fuel. None of these trips should
be undertaken without either speaking to people who have already
done the trip or by consulting a decent publication.
Ignore
that warning and
you will place yourself, your vehicle and your passengers at risk |
