If
you are taking a pet
We have listed
many caravan parks and camp sites that allow you to take a dog into
their park.
Most have asked us to stress that most pet owners are responsible with
their animals and they are welcome to have them with them, but there is
a minority who don't seem to care about others around them. Eventually
they will spoil it for themselves and, unfortunately, everyone else.
The majority of caravan park and camping site owners are dog lovers
themselves and appreciate that your pet needs to travel with you, no
problem with that.
What is a problem, though, are those pet owners who excercise no
control over their animals and allow them to wander unchecked and annoy
other vistors to the site - remember not all travellers are dog lovers.
The second problem is that some pet owners think it is OK for their
animals to do their business whenever and wherever they want. Actually it isn't OK.
Someone else will have to clean up after your pet if you don't. Besides
which it is extremely unhealthy for kids to play around it and very
annoying for those that walk in it.
If
your pet makes a mess please clean up after it, if your pet likes to
wander please keep it on a leash.
